What’s not included in base pricing

  • Content

    I will pull existing content for you, you can also include more content for me to add. This includes Images and Text.

  • Domain Name

    You should own and control your own domain name. I can walk you through it.

  • Additional Featurees & Functionality

    Things like eCommerce, Calendars and other more advanced functions are not included in the Base website – but can be added. See the FAQ for a list of some common additional features.

What are Layouts

Sites get more expensive the more Layouts that I have to create for you. A basic site will have a Home Page layout, secondary page layout, then a Blog layout usually.

A layout is a how the content is organized on the page. Many pages can share one layout. Take the ETSY product page for example. Every product page follows the same LAYOUT.

What do I need to provide for a new project?

To get started – contact me to scope out your project. I’ll need to know if we’re starting from a theme or example site, the number of layouts I anticipate you will need and any additional functionality.

What if I already have a site?

I can work on existing websites no problem, however it will have to be hourly or on a per project basis.

For a new website build or a total redesign – I can operate within your existing WordPress system (HubSpot, DNN, Wix, Squarespace etc.) but the pricing will not be as efficient if I can’t use my tried and true suite of plugins and the builder I prefer.

How much will it cost for a new website?

For basic websites, they can be as inexpensive as $500.

It comes down to a few things:

  1. Are you starting from a theme or example site
  2. How many layouts will we need? We work on this together.
  3. What functionality do you need?

We can determine this quickly after a short call.

What’s your “Basic Site”

Basic sites include:

  • Customized theme and website builder.
    • Builder includes the ability to create visual layouts with things like images, galleries, slideshows, videos etc.
  • Three pre-made layouts
  • Basic Features
    • Contact Forms
    • SEO Configuration
  • Basic training
  • An optional year of hosting
What are “Additional Features”?

A website can do an almost unlimited number of things. But when we talk about additional features or functionality it could mean any or all of these items:

  • External integrations with other software
  • eCommerce
  • Advanced Forms (take payments, if/then logic etc.)
  • Calendar
  • User Registration
  • Bulk importing
  • Booking software
  • Social Media integrations (non-standard)

Note – some of these we can link out to. For example, if you have users log into another site, we can send them to that website securely.

After it’s built – how do I maintain it?

You will receive brief training and I’ll provide some written or video guides for you. After we’ve been launched for 30 days, additional training could incur cost.

Can I add pages or features on my own?

Yes! The site is totally yours after payment clears. You can add plugins, pages, features and content.

I won’t provide any free support for anything that stops working.

If you’re hosting with me – I’ll make sure the site doesn’t go down, but that’s it! We can engage in ongoing maintenance tasks for an additional cost.

Do I need to host with you?

Nope! However, you will need to provide the hosting credentials before we can start any development.
